We loved Kristine- her gentleness, faithfulness, prayerfulness, wisdom and fun. She was a quiet leader but had a real strength. She was a lovely caring friend to us as well as being a valued elder. She shared love and joy through her artistic talents- gifts and cards and was generous and thoughtful. She never boasted about herself and her accomplishments at work nor did she complain about her physical discomfort. She just got on with it. She has a great sense of humour and a twinkle in her eye… but was never one to draw attention to herself…. It was often just a little passing comment or quick response that made us smile. We will always treasure our time together at ALBANY BAPTIST . We were so encouraged and inspired by her prayers. And we send the family our love and will be praying for comfort . Wendy and Angus
Kristine, a much loved niece and cousin taken way to soon. Mum remembers ringing you when it snowed and having a laugh about what to do with the white stuff. When we think of Kristine the word FAMILY all caps is what comes to mind with what that entails, love, laughter, warmth, belonging and acceptance. Kristine had many family members blood and not which she shared all of these with. The world is a sadder place without your light but I know your surrounded in the love of those that have gone Till we meet again Aunty Yvonne, John, Daryl and Rochelle
Very sad Kristine to have lost such a wonderful daughter, sister, Aunty and cousin, you will be missed very much . I imagine Uncle Tom would have been holding open the doors for you to join him. I can picture the sadness of all our family that have passed, as you are there far too soon. Till we meet again Lyn
I have been remembering Kristine with great affection, remembering how we used Granddad's sawhorses to pretend we were cowboys riding the range. I also remember Krissy when she was here studying and how hard she found it to tell me that she had epilepsy. My response was "No biggie Kris" She told me because Auntie Noel told her she had to if we were going to go up to Christchurch for the weekend. Krissy thought that telling me would put me off, it didn't. I shall miss Krissy and the girls we were.
I have many fond memories of when Kristine stayed with my parents in Dunedin while she was completing her physiotherapy studies. Kristine always had a beautiful smile and infectious laugh despite her health issues. She will be greatly missed.
