So so shocked to hear of Jill's passing. Just found out on 1st Sept. Had always wanted to get back in touch but had no idea where she was. There was four of us good friends that worked together and we always tried to get together outside of work. Jill was a genuine lovely person who always had your back. My deepest sympathy to the family.
OMG Shocked is what I can only say. I only found out of Jill's passing yesterday 1st September. I worked with Jill at Fresh Choice Merivale and we developed a great friendship. The laughs we had were unexplainable, we did alot of socializing out of the work environment along with two other special people in Jill's life at the time Linda Reeves and Jill Dale (aka) JD. Jill was the life of a party especially when it came to mystery bus trips. The last time I saw Jill was when she was living in Avonside just before the Feb earthquakes. From then we lost contact. My thoughts and condolences go to Sarah and Jason and I hope Jill you are living it up, up there. RIP Jill dear friend ❤️
To Jason, Sarah and families, We met Jill in Gore and we had not long moved there from the North Island. met through Netball and she used to babysit my kids. She also worked in a pizza shop and many nights she would arrive on her motor bike with a pizza for us with lots of laughs she had had whilst working. We became great friends and when her children were born it was our turn to help her. Yes Jason you were a challenge and I always remember the day while she was in the shower you had made scones, yes all the right mixture, milk and flour but instead of in a bowl you had made it on her bran new lounge suite. Then played hair dresser cutting off Sarahs fringe. Oh I have many more tails. When I visited Jill a month ago she and I had a special time remembering old times. We will miss you Jill and we loved your service your children made you proud. RIP my old friend. Prayers are with you Jason and Sarah.
Be strong going forward as best you all can, looks like your mum would of given you the drive and strength to do this, she will live on in those memories your share so close and the ones you make with your own families, it showed at the end in the dance by her grandchild dancing with happiness in such a sad time , but she knew exactly what nana would of wanted her to do. Love ❤️ to all the family.
So sad to read that Jill has passed away. Thinking of her family at this sad time. Rest in peace Jill.
You’re everywhere except right here and it hurts. We will miss you until we meet again ❤️
