I first met Shirley at Waitere Street, when I visited Margaret. We always went over to Shirley's and had coffee each morning. Her roses were really beautiful each time I visited. I was shocked to hear of her passing from Margaret, who informed me. Such a lovely person, always with a smile and a hug and will really miss our chats together over coffee. I have been Shirley's gardener for a number of years, when she lived in Marton and also at Coombrae. I will miss her banter and our cup of coffee together. It was a shock to hear of her passing as I last did her garden before Easter. She had such a great personality & we got on well together. My condolences to her family.
