Tributes

I can only echo what my cousins have just said. I remember uncle Ian and my father,Rob, laughing together with a dry sense of humour. For myself, when I stayed with my aunt and uncle either in Headcorn or Hothfield or when laterly visiting NZ, he always had a comforting word of reassurance and wisdom as only he could as I went through life a boy to a man. I only wish I could have learnt more. With all my love to Aunty Steve, Damian and Gareth. Xx

To my Mother's baby brother, my Uncle and my Godfather I send my heartfelt thanks for everything that you have done and meant to me. It has been hard for me to put into words the affection and respect I have for you. My especial thanks for you and Steve for welcoming me into your Headcorn home for a respite from College back in the early 70s. My principal memories are of you visiting your big sister on a motorbike and later, in those Rover cars with the running boards. Always you arrived like a storm of energy and humour. Your quick wit and intelligence were like a bright light into our already happy lives. Thank you, Ian, for your help and guidance over the years you will never be forgotten. You will live on in my memory, always. Much love and wishes from myself, Sue, the girls and our new baby Granddaughter.
