McDowell, Robert Walter, Peacefully at home aged 82 years. Loved husband of Kay (nee Dixon). Loved father and father in-law of Mark*, Dion and Linda, Aaron and Rebekah and Jason*. Proud and much loved Pop of Hannah and Chris, Breanna and Marcus, Teegan and Riley. Best friend of Geoff. Respected family member of the Dixon and McDowell families. A graveside service to celebrate Rob’s life will be held at the Tuatapere Cemetery on Wednesday 3rd May at 2pm. Messages to 37 Papatotara Road, Tuatapere 9260 * denotes deceased.

I meet Rob a couple of years ago, via Kaye. Kaye, Rob and Geoff would come to the salon together and all get a tidy up, plenty of banter and laughs to be had. Rob was a true gentleman…. And Kaye always thought he looked younger and more handsome with a fresh haircut ❣️ RIP Rob it was a pleasure to know you x
