Lars and Mandy, Our family paths crossed when "uncle" Neil and "aunt" Bev met my parents Doug and Ronnie in Saigon in the mid-1960's. We stayed with y'all when we first moved to NZ in 1974. Your mum played a significant part in my life when my parents marriage was falling apart, simply by being there. My special memories of aunt Bev are * Saigon when the VC blew the roof of a building close to where they were living. * Telling some door-knocking evangelists we were buddhist while our mums, and us 5 kids stood at the front door. * Her saying to me in my 7th form year, "if you get drunk at that party, don't come to me for sympathy. You'll find it between shit and syphilis in the dictionary." Thanks for sharing your mum with me. Here's a picture of 3 generations taken in 1989 during a trip home from West Australia. I pray that God's peace, love and comfort are with both of you and your families. Bert
Wonderful memories of times past, all the way from Vietnam to Rotorua. A much loved "big sister", always in our hearts XXX
Our life together was a wild ride beginning in the United States and then on to Japan with her child in arms. After a short stay in Japan I transferred to Saigon, Vietnam. At this time a raging war was in progress, and we stayed there for four years. I transferred.to Vientiane, Laos and rather than take the family to another war zone moved then to Bangkok, Thailand where A son Lars and Mandi were born. before moving to New Zealand and a more peaceful life.
My sincere condolences to the family. I only met Beverly a few years ago together with Renee and Daniel. I was very fond of her. She was so sweet, funny and intelligent and we all had some nice outings together. We had some interesting conversations and she had a great sence of humor. Rest in peace Beverly, I will miss you. Love Kristina. ❤️
Although I had not seen my cousin Beverly in many years, we reconnected through FaceBook a few years ago. I was very close to Beverly's mother, my Aunt Sophie (my father John Lewandowski's sister). I was sad to learn of her passing. Mandy Lars, and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I will be tuning in to the memorial service. Our deepest condolences, Bruce & Janet Paton Boise, ID
