Passed away on May 09, 2023. Dearly loved husband of Patricia (Trish). Dearly loved brother of Lois (late), Janice (late), Graeme, Glenys and Elizabeth. Dearly loved Dad of Jenny (late) and Mick, Michelle and Greg, Sam and Francie, and Carl. Dearly loved Grandad of Jordan and Rohan, Alexandra, Oliver and Jasmine, Hayley, Cole, Eli, Tarlae, Duprie and Hahleese and Great Grandad-to-be of Selena. Matua Barry to staff and children of Finlayson Park and Waikowhai Intermediate Schools. A celebration of Barry's life will be held at Church of the Saviour, 2 Heaphy St, Blockhouse Bay on Saturday 13 May at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to UNICEF can be made through the link below.

Thank you Matua Barry for serving & loving the school communities you came into contact with especially Finlayson Park & Waikowhai Intermediate. We will miss you in supervision group meetings and your jokes with Max. Manuia lou malaga. We love you.
I met Barry in 1965 when we worked together in Palmerston North and again in Auckland for Caltex NZ. Always enjoyed a great working relationship together, in addition to a friendly social life. Both Shelley and myself send our sympathy and love to Trish and all the family.
