Watching the funeral has been very sad but also a great joy. What a wonderful tribute to dear Stu. He & Molly welcomed me into their home for a few months back in 1986 when I travelled from the UK with Di. They were easy-going, loving, and I have so many happy memories from my time with them at Te Mara Place and Oakura too. Stu loved to tease me about being a POM and he brought so much fun & laughter into life. I love that Molly was the 'leader'....I remember her hokey pokey biscuits and would love to have tasted Stu's too, as described by his grandchildren! I'm glad that I had the privilege of meeting Stu & Molly and am so happy that they are now reunited. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family at this sad time. With love Chris xx
Sorry I couldn’t be there to place a pack of cards as a tribute. Stu, thanks for accepting Susan into your family. I’ve had lots of laughs with you at Don and Susan’s place and visited you in NP with them. One laugh you had on me was when I was playing the card game “Patience” on the floor. Don saw fit to walk over the cards a couple of times, and I probably just rolled my eyes so as not to buy into it. The third time, however, was too much and I let fly, but, as I was raving, I looked up the legs to see you standing there looking down very bemused. I was mortified! Big hug to Don, Susan and your extended family xxx
Thank you for being a great uncle. Such happy memories of visiting New Plymouth over many many years. The parties, family get togethers, “Ferdinand” football matches, and spending time with you. We had lots of laughs. I miss you. xx
So many memories of shared happy times growing up and visiting Stu, Molly and family. Many wonderful family gatherings. Always welcomed with open arms. Stu, thanks for being such a great uncle. Your sense of fun, mischievous smile I will miss. Much love to Don,Di, Carolyn, Jo and families ❤️ Barbara
Love and thoughts from London to all my family in NZ. Despite travelling the world, my fondest holidays are with Stu and Molly at Oakura beach in the caravan with Jo. Thanks for the memories Uncle Stu and all the family.
Sincere condolences at Stu's passing. I was so pleased to visit him while Barbara was staying with me as I now live at Molly Ryan village. Thinking of you all at this time. Margaret.
