On 11 May 2023, peacefully in her sleep, aged 91 years. Dearly loved wife and life companion of Willy (Guillermo). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Gerda, Jeremy, Carl, Kerry and Erika. Much loved grandmother of Alex, Ollie, Abigail and Elizabeth. Beverley was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and travelled to the US in the 1950s, where she gained her PhD from Harvard University. After returning to New Zealand, she became a trailblazer in an era of little support for working mothers - especially in science. despite the challenges, Beverley excelled at being an excellent mum and an exceptional entomologist. She will be well remembered for her contributions to both family and profession. Special thanks to the dedicated carers at Kumeu Village Rest Home who showed outstanding compassion for Beverley and her family over the past six years. A service will be held at Davis Funerals, 150 Central Park Drive, Henderson, on Saturday 20 May at 10:30am to mark the passing of a truly remarkable woman.
