BENNETT Edward Noel “Noel”: Passed peacefully after a short illness at Hawera Hospital on Thursday 18th May 2023, aged 87 years. Cherished and loved soulmate of Jean for 67 years. Much loved father of Robyn & Josef, Doug & Sharon, and Michael & Patricia. Adored poppa of Nick, Rebecca, Hannah; Tim, Sam; Joseph, Karl, and Bede. Loved great poppa of Tyler; Max, and Harry. A Requiem Mass for Noel will be held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church Victoria Street Hawera, on Monday 22nd May 2023 commencing at 10:30am.  Mass will be followed by Noel’s committal at the Hawera Cemetery. My sincere sympathy to Jean and family in your sad loss of Noel. He will be greatly missed by people around the country. I recall Noel gave the best part of his life to the dairy industry especially the setting up of the cheese factory at Whareroa just on 50 years ago to become one of the largest cheese factories in the world. To Jean and family So sorry to learn of Noel’s passing. May he rest in peace. We as a family enjoyed meeting Noel and Jean each Saturday evening. You both were so supportive to Sarah and Edward in their endeavours. Jean, we hope time will help ease the loss of Noel.
