Bereavement Panui on behalf of the Mauahara Whanau, regarding the passing of their beloved Father and Papa, Alexander McKay (MAKA) Mauahara, who sadly passed away yesterday, Thursday the 18th of May in Whangarei.

Matua Maka is currently in our care and will depart this afternoon for Waihapa Marae, Kaeo, where matua will lay in state for the duration of his tangihanga. Whanau have yet to advise as to the burial details, and we will update the panui, when the information is made available to us.
