My memories of Aunty Rosemary are predominantly from Whangapoua over many years. From the very start of my Goldfinch family induction, she was warm, caring and always seemed genuinely interested in what was happening in our lives. It was a delight to walk up the driveway and find her on the porch in her chair and to settle in for a good old natter, a cuppa or a wine. She was even gracious about our successive poorly trained dogs…. Michael loved Rosemary very much and a visit when we were at the bach was just what we did. He used to tell me, and later Alexandra, about how Rosemary was so welcoming and generous when he was growing up, feeding him as well as half of Whangapoua. She very much had a special place in his heart. Our love goes to the family. Rosemary really was one of life’s rare treasures and your sense of loss will no doubt run deep. Love always, Sarah and Alex xx
Dear Auntie Rosemary was such a wonderful, warm, lovely and welcoming lady. I have many fond memories of her that I will always cherish. RIP
