It is with a heavy heart i announce the sudden passing of George Ngamare Maaka aka Tuwerowero. He passed away Sunday 21st May at 8.30pm in Whakatane Hospital.

We the whanau would like to inform you that he will be laying in state at 89 James St from early Friday morning 26th May his poroporoaki will start at 6.30pm Friday night till late.  We extend an invitation to all whanau and friends to celebrate the journey he took on earth with us. 

He will be laid to rest on Saturday 27th May. Service starts at 11am at 89 James Street Whakatane followed by burial at Hahuru Marae in Onepu followed by Hakari back at 89 James Street with our whanau all are welcome.
