Tributes

My sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Cecilie. I enjoyed our chats when I delivered the newspapers. You were there waiting for me with your little “beanie” on. Sending you love and light Cecilie from your “mates” at Glaisdale, Fay,Len and Margaret.

A fond farewell to the best Aunty and Godmother a bloke could ever ask for. I remember your visits to Oz with much affection. My thoughts are with Kristine and Rachel at this difficult time. Sorry I couldn't make it up there for the service. Andrew.

Cecilie was an inspiring woman with a great sense of humour and hospitality - having heard so much about her in London it was my privilege to meet her in Hamilton in 2010 - to share time with her and see what a phenomenal grandmother she was as well as mother with her own unique mixture of fierce and quiet intelligence- my heart goes out to all who mourn her and may all that was good and so wonderful about her continue to inspire us - Fx

Sending my deepest condolences to my cousins Krissy and Rachel and their children Ryan, Jasmine and Julian on the loss of a truly wonderful Mum and Grandma. Even though Aunty Cecilie lived in New Zealand and I in Melbourne and later Dublin, I have the best memories of times spent together. I was always so excited when Cecilie and the children would come to visit. We would have special family outings that were so much fun. I also treasure time spent in London during Rachel's wedding festivities, when our bond continued through to my adulthood. You will be missed immensely Aunty Cecilie and loved forever. Sue, Tim, Calvin and Penny.

I always thought that after Cecilie’s sister Margaret (my mum) died that I would spend a huge amount of time in New Zealand with my favourite aunt. I’m devastated that Cecilie only lived five months longer than Mum, despite her being 7 years younger. I’m so sad that she has gone but I’m so happy that I was able to see so much of her on my recent visit to Hamilton, thanks to Cousin Xie! I remember so many fabulous times with Cecilie from a tour around the North Island with the whole family when I was 16, to time in London and Leicestershire, to a trip from the Blue Mountains to Mornington, not to mention the many, many times I visited her in NZ as an adult. She was a fabulous musician, sister, mum, auntie and friend. I already miss her so much. With all my love Kathy
