Passed away at Thornleigh Rest Home on Monday 29th May 2023 aged 91. Dearly loved wife of the late Ted and treasured mother of Marilyn and the late Alan Kirk, Sheryll and John Lamb, Lynette Gee and Bruce Black and Allan Riddick and Tracey Mitchell. Very special Nana of Paula, Nicholas, Philippa, Michael, Yvette, Leteisha, Jesscynta, Amelia and Meghan. Loving great-nana of Katie, Jacob, Zachariah, Inali and Avery. Special friend of Bronwyn McCurdy.
Our special thanks go to the staff at Thornleigh Rest Home and Dr Kathy Gadd for the love and care they have given Rita.
A service will be held at the Te Henui Chapel on Saturday 3rd June at 10:30am, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth. Private cremation will follow

To Marilyn, Sheryll, Lynette and Alan and family- My love and thoughts go out to you all on the loss of Rita. Such a beautiful lady who always had the biggest smile. I’m so sorry I can’t be with you today but thinking about you.
My deepest sympathy to all of Aunty Ritas' family. I am unable to be there with you today, but sending love to you all. You are in my thoughts. Rest peacefully Aunty Rita.
