Aunty Christine, We may not have spoken in recent years but whanau is whanau. Thank you for the time spent with us during our earlier years and for the Thin Lizzy compact (from many moons ago) that sparked a love of make up and obsessive collection through my later teen years. It's nice to know my ever-changing hair colours might have something to do with you too - maybe it's hereditary 😜 Sending lots of love and good feels for the celebration of Christine's life, all the way from Perth, Western Australia. I'm sorry I'm not there in person but my heart's will all of you ❤️
Our Dearest Chrissie, I can’t even think of where to begin or what to say. You were such an amazing and strong woman with the most craziest humour. I was maybe 10 when you came in to our lives, beginning work at the Rangeview Hotel where my mum - Jeanie worked and weren’t we lucky. You took our family in as your own and so did we with you. The countless times you would take Emily and i home to stay at your house, you introduced us to sonic on the sega, you’d take us to ice hockey, we’d bake cookies and your famous chocolate brownie - which we still love to this day but can never master the recipe, painting your nails bright pink while we sat sipping hot chocolate - which thinking of it now was free child labour I’m sure haha The nights you and mum would knock off, grab a bottle each and sit up drinking and partying and there was nothing but laughter. You were 1 of a kind and like a 2nd mum to em and i. Our hearts shattered with the news and our family are all still in shock but we hope that you rest peacefully our beautiful Chrissie. You will always be in our thoughts and hearts and we will forever cherish all the memories shared with you. Your beloved WA black fulla family, Jeanie, Davina, Willy, Mona, Rikisha (your Muffy), Emily and Molly
