Tributes

Kim, Finn, Rosie, Lachie, Rueben, Maud and Duncan. Just listened to the beautiful ceremony, it was a true celebration of Cam's life. I wanted to say.. you done him proud💜. I loved hearing all of the stories including Rosie's heartfelt things that ' dad's taught me'. Why is it that young people sometimes just get it. Cam was lucky to have such a loving whanau and so glad you filled your hearts with all of those memories. Kia kaha Butcher family. AROHANUI x Bec P.

I met Cam on a job in India back in 2015. From there we formed a close friendship. I worked with Cam in Qatar, Sydney and then NZ. I’m going to miss our yarns and fishing trips. Cam as i knew him was a very measured man which i admired and adopted into my own persona. When i met Cam, i was 27, full of fire and fairly quick tempered. Cam used to always say to me “You’re a diamond in the rough, we’ve just got to shave of the rough edges” I’m going to miss you mate.

Knowing Cam, has made our lives all the more richer. 30 odd years ago a boy from little old Cromwell turned up in London and became part of the Southwood gang
So many memories and stories. So often our paths crossed through out the following years in different countries and cities. Maude and Duncan such a pleasure to have met your Son and spent time with you all. Darling Kim your heart is broken, you have 3 amazing children, a beautiful reminder of the man we love. Shag, missed but not forgotten.
