I have very fond memories of tito Remy.He has been one of the very first people who welcomed me and the group of friends I was with when we first came to N.Plymouth. He was such a kind person, welcomed us to his home and made us feel less homesick. He will always be remembered as a person with a good heart. May the family be comforted in the thoughts that he has been loved by many and he is now in the company of our Good Lord.

It sad to think that Tata Reme is now gone, but I know he is happy no more pain and sufferings. It is hard to think of words to express the feelings how painful it is, loosing another father and having the same pain after Papa died. We will surely miss you Tata Reme, you might nớt physically present but the memories you left will forever in our hearts. You are one of the kindest person I ever known, always sharing life experiences, a person who touches lives of many, full of positivities and most of all ạ jolly person making fond of everything. Until we met again Tata Reme, rest in peace.

Joana

Our heartfelt condolences to Deseree, Gani, Didi and to the whole family. Your Daddy's love will always shine heaven's light on you and your family from up there. Sending our hugs and prayers.

Time flies. Rest in peace tito Remi, mahuhuli mo na ang lahat na isda na gusto mo jan sa taas.

My heart sincerely goes out to the Mercado family at this difficult time. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Kuya Remi had a heart that cared completely and a love that brought joy beyond measure. It hurts so much that a friend so dear is gone specially that I can't personally say my final goodbye to him but I will be forever grateful for the time, care and gift of friendship we shared together. He treated us like family. His immeasurable support to every Pinoy that he came across in New Plymouth was a remarkable character of him that will always be remembered. His kindness and generosity will be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. As he is seeing all of us now, he would certainly have shed few tears to see how many of his family and friends have turned up to celebrate his wonderful life. Kuya Remi you will always be in our hearts and mind. Till we meet again.
