We were devastated to hear the news of Mark’s passing and our heart goes out to Yvonne, the boys and the Blakemore family. Mark is remembered as a loving, caring young man full of fun and adventure who can never be replaced in the hearts of those who knew and loved him so deeply. He is gone now but his spirit lives on through his young sons who can be so proud of the man their father was. Yvonne, you will be hurting for some time to come but remember and cherish the time you had with that amazing man who gave so much to others and left a legacy with all those who had the privilege to know him.

Dear, Ian and Val and all your family, Our thoughts are with you as you come to terms with the devastating loss of your much loved Son and brother. We were able to watch the life stream and listening to all the speakers it was clear what an amazing young man Mark was. You can be so proud of how everyone who knew him genuinely loved him . It will be a difficult time coming to terms with life without Mark around. Look after yourselves and we must catch up sooner rather than later. Love to you all Kay and Brian

So sorry for your loss. The photo compilation of his life with friends and family was really beautiful alongside the songs was very moving tribute to his life. I always remember Mark as being so outwardly engaging and always had positive things to say about all aspects of his life. The times after school years when I did have the opportunity to chat to him when overseas Mark always remembered some great school memories that I had long forgotten, we always had a good laugh over them! All the best. Mark x

I send my love to Yvonne, Jack, Ben and Harry, Ian. Mark was such a wonderful man. He was kind, gentle, inclusive and an absolute joy. I remember dancing around the kitchen with him swinging me around to sweet symphony by the verve. We must have listened to that song 20 times in a row. Keep your courage, Love Sid.

My first memory of Mark was when he became my house captain at school - he was the most kind, warm, supportive, enthusiastic, encouraging leader you could ever wish for, and I soon discovered those qualities were just a part of who he was. I enjoyed reconnecting with Mark over the years in and around Nelson. He glowed with pride and love when he spoke of his incredible family. Much love to you all Dale xx
