We send our condolences and best wishes to the family. Trevor's sister Edith was my stepmother. When I was working on my father's farm in the 50s and early 60s the Lloyds and the Parry and Carter families worked together in haymaking and other projects. I have vivid and very happy memories of those times and especially the days of hard work in the hay paddock. Doreen and Owen and Mrs Parry were important members of the team. We also shared Christmas dinners with the Parry clan over many years. Those were wonderful years and the memories of them have been a precious distraction from city life. I also cherish our occasional recent visits to Trevor's place when we were able to share old memories. Heather and I are sad that we are unable to attend the service, but we will be thinking of you and will watch it on livestream. Trevor and Heather Lloyd
Our condolences to all of you at this sad time. Since our days in Manaia when a lifetime friendship was formed, Trevor and Doreen have featured in Morrie and Val's life, providing may happy memories. From the days of school committees, a trip to Alaska, but more importantly those annual trips to Turangi to catch those elusive trout. Mum's first comment when she told me the news was "Can you imagine the fish tales that Morrie and Trevor will be spinning right now?" We will be thinking of you all as you farewell and celebrate the life of a true gentleman. The Abbot Family
Thinking of you as you farewell Uncle Trevor and celebrate his long life. Jane and I will both be joining the service on line. Margaret Hunt ( Stoddart)
Uncle Trevor will forever be remembered as the good friend with seemingly limitless laughter. All of our memories of Trevor and Doreen together with smiling, laughing faces and happy to see people. Memories go far back to his teenage years wrestling with uncle Pel on the kitchen floor with Nanna Parry telling them to get out of the kitchen and play somewhere else. Fishing took up a large portion of his spare time along with all other members of his extended family. Deane, our son, has great memories of fishing at Taupo with his Uncle Trevor and Aunty Doreen. They were both blessed with a very happy marriage and a wonderful close loving family. Love was something he gave and received freely. Oh so many times I watched Trevor and Doreen before they were married in a strong embrace in the cowshed, with Poppa Parry yelling, for goodness sake get on with milking the cows. My friend you came from a long line of beautiful people. You always spread smiles where ever you were. Your legacy will be the many happy memories, long remembered and never forgotten. Llew, Elaine, Tracey Deane and Alisa your Australian family.
