Passed away suddenly but peacefully, at her home in Auckland on Tuesday 27 June 2023 aged 68 years. Loved only daughter of the late Bruce (Babe) and Lola (Mumsie) Devitt. Younger sister of Graham and Ross, sister-in-law to Sue and Robyn and Aunty to Matthew and Christy, Simon and Claire, Kayla, Alex and Emily and Nicole and Scott. Fondly remembered for her kindness to others, particularly the elderly, her handcraft skills and involvement in Zonta. Gone too soon leaving an empty chair at our family catchups. A service to celebrate Christine's life will be held at Grange Manor Chapel, Davis Funeral care, 400 Dominion Road Mt Eden, on Monday 10 July 2023 at 1.30pm thereafter private cremation. 'Please wear colourful bright clothing' In lieu of flowers, & in memory of Christine, donations to The Woman's Refuge can be made through the link below. A pause and then are refection from an old friend from Hamilton days Roger
We are so sad to lose Christine - a wonderful neighbour for so many years. We will miss her popping up over the fence for a weekend chat and a laugh. We have grown even closer this year after the January floods and she subsequently brought an entire neighbourhood together as well. Gutted she's gone too soon - we will miss her dreadfully. We are also very sad we can't be there today to celebrate her life but have been there online - such a lovely service. Our thoughts are with Christine's family and friends. Hamish, Louise, Ella and Thomas Selby. xx
